Been a while since I posted last. Since then I've gone to the doctor multiple times. Dr. Larson called me last week to tell me that I had an abnormal test, a low cortisol level with a a high postassium level which might be A) some red blood cells bursting because the tourniquet was released too soon or too late or something. Or B) It could indicate a rare disease called Addison's Disease. Had to go take a test the next morning which entailed a blood test, an injection of ACTH (?) via IV and then another blood test an hour later. Don't have the results back yet. Had to look it up and found it's an adrenal gland problem and symptoms don't usually show up until 90% of the adrenal cortex is destroyed and one has to take hydrocortisone for life amongst other drugs depending upon primary or secondary Addison's. Dr. Larson says yes, if the test is pos and I have Addison's it was probably the Lupus that started that process. My life is full of stress, fatigue, nausea and headaches at the moment (LOL, all signs of Addison's) and I really didn't need this to go one top of it. Susan told me not to take the steroids to which I replied: Ok, my choices would be not take the steroids and die or go from 113lbs to gaining 30lbs....which seems like the better choice? I'll take the steroids if I have to.

Yoga: Had to miss Mon and Tues Mysore, felt too nasty. Went Thurs night and felt great. Helped a ton with the headache and nausea. Slipped right into Garba Pin but needed help to get all the way around the mat. I need another inch or so to cup to my ears. At the moment it's all I can do to put the backs of my fingers underneath the chin. I finger waved at everyone tho. Sheesh all that "straight back, straight back" it's hard to remember to round the back to roll around the mat.
Last night went back to the Fri class me and Susan went to last week, a viniyasa class. Teacher had a sub. An Iyengar sub to boot. He normally teaches children and it was his first adult class. It was pretty apparent that he teaches children. There were 5 in the class, 4 of us regular practioners and one new woman. He mostly gave us basic poses and those of who could get into deeper poses did. Its funny moving from Iyengar to Ashtanga and remembering to do it the way that school teaches it. Chair is different by this guys method than Iyengar Christie or the Ashtanga people. But I ended up doing it his way. He's the teacher I figure.

Gotta run and take a nap. Too tired and feeling like I'm gonna toss my cookies. Ick.
