Fell on my face in crow last night. Lessons learned, stay in the middle of your mat so your cheek doesn't smack onto the hardwood floor. High cheekbones are no good for landing on but it's better than landing on your nose. That was one time I wished for fat cheeks. Well, other than wishing I had a butt, those cheeks could use some padding thats for sure.
It was over 100 yesterday and it was hot. They kept the air on but it didn't do much good. Son came home from school yesterday after running 2 races, a 200 and 400 meter race and then he got heat exhaustion. Bill went to pick him up, brought him home to me. Dorky kid was more excited about winning and improving his time by 7 secs from last year that he wasn't all that concerned about the exhaustion. So I made sure to take my big bottle of water instead of my little one.
