Again it's been a while. Yoga has been very good. Before I left for Del Mar Scott told me he wanted to give me some second series poses but I needed to be there more often. At the moment I'm going at least 3 times a week. It will be easier once everyone goes back to work/school.

While I was in Del Mar I went to a Sun and a Fri class at Ashtanga Yoga in Encinitas. Rich McGowen taught both days as Tim Miller was in Shasta. The Sun class was totally full. Pretty much wall to wall. I think I talked to one of the EZ Board posters before class. Anyway the room was really humid from the prior class. I had water (nobody else did) and yep, I drank some too. The class was great, a lot slower (it was a led class) than what we do here. I kept up and I was glad for that. There was a teeny bit of me that wondered if I could. Vinyasas on both sides. The class here doesn't always do vinyasas on both sides for everyone. Beginners get the ease of vinyasas only between whole right/left poses.

I was pouring sweat. I could feel it springing out of my pores. About 3/4 of the way thru class they opened the windows which were high up on the wall and that helped cool things down a tad. My practice was pretty energizing, there was something about being in the room. I was adjusted in MarchyC, which I expected and my 90 degree angle in headstand was a tad over 90 I was told. I was beginning to tire at that point so I'm sure I was not as far down as I should have been. Oh yeah, and I fell over in Garba and someone came over to help me go round.

I loved it, I gave a thumbs up signal and mouthed "that was gooooood" to the guy I talked to before class. I went back to the condo drenched and totally happy. That night we went to see Julius Ceasear. It was disappointing to me.

The next session I attended was a led Mysore class. The last class everyone faced front, this time it was regular mysore facing each other. The class was much smaller, maybe 16-18. There was a break between the morning class and this late morning class so the room was not steamy at all. It got steamy and I'd forgotten water. I got a hip push in a DD and that was nice. My garba was fine, no problems there. Oh, both classes they did lots of backbends. My wrist won't let me do them so I just hung out in whatchamacallit while they all did their beautiful backbends. I must find a brace that allows me to do them. Grrrrr.

OT: I'm going to ask James to do EMDR on me for backbends, not the wrist issue but the fear issue. I know I'll figure something out for the wrist and I want to be as ready as I can be on the fear factor there, just in case.

I left there with a huge thirst and stopped to get something to drink. Gawds I love Gatorade. There is some postings at EZB about not drinking but I can't seem to do that. I think my blood pressure is too low because if I don't have something to drink I get all wacky feeling. It's not really a rest thing, it's a dehydration thing for me...I think.

Ok, so last night Scott tells me again to come more often so he can give me Second. I forgot to tell him I'd gone to Ashtanga Yoga but did tell him I was practicing at home. When the time is right, the poses will come. I'm ok with where I am but am looking forward to more.
